"Pesto is such a great standard. It's so simple to make and always tastes good." - Tamra Davis
I'm obsessed with pesto, and was recently inspired to make a super yummy naan pizza at home!
This four ingredient dish, takes about 10-15 minutes to make, and is the perfect weeknight meal. I love coming home after work and making this easy individual pizza for G and I, especially when our schedules are super busy!
Today I'm dishing on how to make this really easy meal at home.
What you'll need:
- Pesto
- Tomato
- Fresh Mozzarella
- Naan Flatbread
Optional
- Black Peppercorn
- Protein (grilled chicken or shrimp)
Step 1: Set your oven to 425 degrees. Once the oven is ready, throw in your flatbread on the oven rack for a few minutes to ensure it gets a little toasty. While this is happening, chop up your tomatoes for the pizza!
Pro Tip: By placing the flatbread in the oven a little early, helps give the flatbread a nice crunch!
Step 2: Once your flatbread is warm put in a pizza pan, add as much pesto you'd like to the naan. Then layer fresh mozzarella onto the pizza. Last, add the tomato to finish off the dish.
Pro Tip: You can add chicken to this dish if you want some protein on your pizza! Or, if I'm not feeling tomatoes that day, I'll swap it out with broccoli.
Step 3: Place the pizza with it's pan, and place it into the oven for about 10 minutes. Periodically check the pizza, to ensure the mozzarella is melted to perfection.
Step 4: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes prior to cutting! Finally, add some fresh black peppercorn to the flatbread if you desire.
Step 5: Enjoy!
