"I only drink Champagne on two occasions, when I am in love and when I am not." - Coco Chanel
Who doesn't love a glass of bubbly?! When I'm in need of some good champs, I head to a few places near my home. Total Wine has such a large variety of sparking wines, and they literally have everything! The store is massive! On every turn there's a different bottle to choose from, which honestly is my version of paradise. When I need a little bit of bubbly in a hurry, this is my spot.
Also, I frequent my local wine shop of Tinto in Virginia Beach, and of course Trader Joe's! I love enjoying and selecting new champagnes to purchase. Yet, Total Wine's selection is insane, and you can count on them having their usual bottles! Today I'm giving you my top five Champagnes, and a yummy Prosecco, just in time for New Year's Eve!
- Veuve Clicquot Brut NV. This is a staple in our house, and we love it! It has a citrus and apple note, and it's super crisp. We absolutely enjoy it, and we keep a few bottles on hand!
- Veuve Clicquot Brut Rose NV. Who doesn't love an amazing glass of rose? Well this one is super yummy. It has a berry note, and literally bursts with flavor.
- Dom Perignon. So clearly this is the elite of all champagnes! Dom is super yummy, and has a tastiness and cognac flavor. This is one of my favorites of course!
- Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut. This crisp champagne has a fantastic citrus note. It taste of lemon, apple, and honey - very easy to drink. This is my go to on many occasions!
- Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut NV. I recently found this champs at a local shop that was closing down by my job. It had rave reviews, so I had to buy it. Oh gosh, it is so great! It is rich, toasty, and has a hint of orange - it is the best!
Honorable Mention
- La Marca Prosecco. If champagne is not your thing, this prosecco is a fan favorite. The notes of apple, white peach, and honeysuckle blend together so well! For the price point it is a steal too.
What are some of your favorite champagnes or sparkling wines to pop open!?
Cheers!
XO, Analise
